Children's Ministry: Dell
Stith has led our children's ministries for many years. Dell retired
after teaching for 30 years in the Carroll School District. She was
highly regarded as a teacher both for her ability to teach even the
most difficult children and also the genuine love she expressed for
each child. Dell has always had a great love for children. She teaches
Children's Church, leads children's music activities, directs Vacation
Bible School and currently leads a large and exciting Children's
ministry activity, Word Warriors, on Wednesday nights. Carroll Baptist
offers a Children's Church for two different age groups; pre-school
Children's Church for ages 2-5 and ages 6 through grade six.

Family Ministry: We
have always had a strong emphasis on family. Periodically we have had
seminars dealing with various areas of family life. Beyond the nuclear
family we have worked to build a sense of family among our members. We
would much prefer to see each other as extended family members rather
than church members. We believe it is in this atmosphere that anyone
from any kind of situation can find a place to be at home, whether he
or she is currently a part of a large family or single. We strive to
make it a safe and loving atmosphere in which we can grow to our
maximum potential.

Music Ministry: Music
is very important to us. It is not just something we do before a
sermon. We try to use music that both teaches great truths and also
makes us conscious of the presence of God. Jesse Bass is our Worship
Leader and plays the lead guitar. He is the Middle School and High
School Band Instructor for American Heritage Academy in Carrollton. Eli
Melton plays the guitar and is the Athletic Director for Forney High
School. Steve Newburn, retired from the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD,
plays the keyboard. Danny Nelson plays bass guitar.Gene Giggleman plays
the harmonica. Jason Worley plays the drums for our Worship Team. Mark
Reynolds plays the bongo drums. Kay Nelson and Amy Bass both sing with
the Worship Team. We use a variety of music and musical styles.
Contemporary praise and worship is a primary focus but we also use the
great hymns of the faith. Both the message and the mode are important.

Nursery Ministry: We
have always been fortunate to have a nursery led by nurturing, caring
people. This is evident even in the furnishings and decor of the
Nursery. The Nursery was lovingly designed, decorated and furnished by
members who have a heart for babies and for children in general. This
is reflected in the way the children are handled and cared for in the
nursery. A nursery is provided for all church services. Mrs. Wanda
Stowe and Angie Worley lovingly provide care and leadership in this
ministry.
